We held a company planning session in the beginning of February and one of the questions we pondered was “What are your personal expectations for 2023”. We want to develop Cirit together and these sessions are an important part of getting aligned and understanding each other better. We want to create a culture where everyone can influence what we do.
We were happy to notice that many people expected “more of the same” so we don’t have to overhaul everything we built last year. But something new will also be coming. Here are some of the expectations and also some comments for the ones we’ve already been able to take action on:
-
Doing things together
One of the things we’ve been doing and will continue to do. Last year we spent summer parties doing “mokkiolympialaiset”, our christmas parties in a cabin in Aulanko, went to play padel and arcade games and did a LAN party. And played a lot of duck game.
-
Travelling abroad
In our previous company we traveled to Budapest and Barcelona together. Great trips! So fun that we wanted to do it again. This time, we’re going to have our summer party in Prague in June! Trip booked and planning ongoing.
-
Board game evenings (…days)
We had some in 2022, people want more! Arttu got the Twilight Imperium game and now things are at another level.
-
More great developers to our Tampere office
Last year, we were lucky to grow a lot in Helsinki. This year, we really want to add more great devs to our Tampere office. If you happen to know any, check out our careers page!
-
New projects and learning from others
We are all here to learn. The most important factor in developing your professional skills is the project you are working on. Thus, we spend a lot of effort in making sure that everyone gets to a project that they feel is interesting and meaningful.
-
Same same but new office to Helsinki
And we found it! Bigger, better and optimally located in Mikonkatu.
-
More ways to share information and learn
One of the ways we are sharing information and learnings inside the company is our weekly “Koodikorneri” where we discuss and learn about state-of-art developments in technology and practices. This year we want to find more ways to share information and learn from each other.
